ONTHRUN™ is a running, walking, and fitness specialty store in the heart of Modesto’s McHenry Village. We stock the best footwear, apparel, and accessories from the best brands on the planet.

We are open for business! Our open hours are: Monday-Friday 10am- 7pm, Saturday 10am- 6pm and Sunday 12noon- 5pm.

Did you know that the Modesto Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier, and one of the newest marathons in the country? In its second year, the Modesto Marathon exceeded every milestone and continues to build momentum. Modesto is a wonderful place to raise a family, get active and be involved in our community. Modesto is an All American City with more than 275 days of sun per year and more than 30 parks to enjoy. We invite everyone to get outside and PLAY!

ONTHERUN™ will lead the way in community involvement by; sponsoring health fairs, running and active events in our schools and within the greater Stanislaus County area. We believe that goodness travels and we employ (only) people that pass a rigorous vetting process and strive to live positive, active and involved lives everyday. We believe in giving back to our community with our resources including; profits, time and energy. We are active participants in the Teens Run Modesto, Soles4Souls program, 1% for the Planet, and Marathon Kid’s. If you have an idea where we might get involved, please share it. We want to give back to this wonderful community. We strongly believe it is our mission to give back to the community which makes our very existence possible.

We’re fortunate to live and play in one of the most active areas of the country and have access to people that are hard core ultra-marathoners, weekend warriors, new mommies getting fit, and many are well connected in the running, active and fitness communities.

Bryan Harden is a runner. One look and you see what I mean. He is 6’4′ lean, square jaw, always talking about the next place to run and willing to share it to anyone. Bryan is the owner of ONTHERUN, he was the typical 3 sport athlete (football, basketball, baseball), while he ran for all 3 sports, Bryan did not consider himself a runner. When Bryan went to Texas A&M on an Air Force ROTC Scholarship he began to run and people started to notice. By early spring of his freshman year Bryan was recruited to run club track at A&M and to this day holds the record for 400 meters, 5k and military obstacle course for the coveted Corps of Cadets. After college Bryan continues to run; he’s completed many local 5 & 10K’s, the Disney Half-Marathon, Bridge-to-Bridge, Team Challenge 10 k and the grad daddy of all The Boston Marathon. Bryan was so inspired by the sights, sounds and most importantly the people he ran along side of at Boston, he came home to Modesto and worked on his initial plans for ONTHERUN. This has been a dream to follow his passion and give back to the community that made him Bryan. Bryan is excited to provide the perfect fit for people wishing to live a healthier life starting right now. Bryan says, “drop in, we’ll talk about your goals and life, we’ll fit test you and provide expert advice, I’m sure we’ve got the perfect shoe in-stock for you.” ONTHERUN is Bryan’s dream come true, and he hopes you like it.

Mike Mason long time Modestan, all around great guy and notably one of the most active runners in California. Mike is the current President of the Shadow Chase Running Club in Modesto. Mike came to running later in life than most. He had one of those “Forest Gump” kind of moments. Knowing that many men in his life (dad, Uncle) died as young men. Sadly, they died because they we not active. Mike made a promise to himself 7 years ago, woke up the next morning and went for a run. As Mike tells the candid story, “it was more of a walk, because I couldn’t run.” Since then Mike has lost 75 pounds and lives to run. Mike can be seen running around Modesto daily, usually wearing those bright blue running shorts and the most awesome smile. We are fortunate to have Mike as part of the ONTHERUN team. Mike is our community outreach manager and resident running expert. Come it to meet Mike, he’ll be happy to tell you more about his weight loss and help you become a more active person. If you’re a competitive runner, Mike usually finishes in the top 3 of his age class at every race, he is fast and relentless when he runs. Some would call him a machine, we call him our friend and know you will too when you meet him.

Nathan Paterson is a recent graduate of UC Riverside and has relocated back to Modesto where he grew up. Nathan has been running his whole life including many 5 & 10k’s, he’s run the Modesto 1/2 Marathon and paced his Dad at the Modesto Marathon qualifying for Boston. Nathan is our resident go-to guy; he runs, he knows computers (well), he’s excited to be part of ONTHERUN and he wants to give back to his community.

Colin Daniel is our youngest addition to the team at ONTHERUN. Colin is a junior at Modesto Christian High School where he excels in academics, runs track and cross-country and does everything fast. Colin has worked at a job since he was 7 years old. First working with his grand father working on motorcycles. Always running from his siblings Colin knew he liked to run. This affinity has turned into a love of running, he runs everywhere. Colin may be our youngest teammate, but more than makes up for it by his enthusiasm, attention to detail and his desire to please. Colin plans to work at ONTHERUN and save for college. We hope we can help him do just that.
